Farah Youssef serves as Co-Founder and Project Director at Kader.
She studied Political Science and International Relations at Ebla University in Syria, before pursuing a Master’s degree in Sociology at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris.
Farah has published articles and analyses in a range of Arab and international platforms, including Aljumhuriya (The Republic), Hikaya Ma Enhakat (SyriaUntold), MadaMasr, Open Democracy, and the Arab Reform Initiative. Her writing has focused on issues of citizenship, feminism, refugee integration, and political participation.
Throughout her career, she has been driven by a central question:
How can knowledge move beyond its traditional circles and reach broader and more diverse audiences?
This question led her to work across advocacy and knowledge dissemination through various formats, from producing and hosting podcasts to organizing workshops, reading groups, and discussion forums that created alternative spaces for the exchange of ideas. These initiatives opened avenues for dialogue with actors from academic, cultural, and artistic communities, helping to build a rich and interconnected network.
Today, this inquiry continues through Kader, where Farah works with the team to explore drama and cinema as new spaces for communicating social and humanistic knowledge to wider audiences. Through this work, they seek to bring ideas into everyday life and its questions while preserving their intellectual depth.
