Introduction

This page is the framework that governs the relationship between the Kader website and its users, whether they are visitors to the site, applicants to programs, or participants in programs and various activities.

By using the site or submitting any request through it, you acknowledge your agreement to what is stated in this policy. Depending on the nature of the services provided, users may be reminded of the privacy policy and terms of use via a consent notice while browsing the site.

Kader handles data and personal files in accordance with best practices and standards adopted in the field of data protection and privacy, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Data processing is part of the regulatory and legal obligations aimed at ensuring the security and protection of information.

Who we are

The Kader project is concerned with developing research-based screenwriting in the social sciences and humanities, through an authentic training curriculum, specialized workshops in dramatic writing, and in-person and virtual events that bring together researchers, writers, directors, producers, and professionals in the entertainment industry.

Information we collect

Kader complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and data is collected and processed only to the extent necessary to operate the platform and manage its programs, while ensuring transparency and fairness in the user experience.

In most cases, data you provide directly when registering or applying is collected, including full name, email address, phone number, country, age, and CV. Written samples, links to previous work, or additional information may also be requested through custom questions to understand professional background, interests, and motivations for applying.

For some programs, we may request attached files such as texts, screenplay files, presentations, or visual materials. These materials form part of the application file and may by their nature include personal or creative information belonging to the applicant; they are stored in a secure environment for the duration of retention.

Some technical data is also collected automatically when using the site, such as device and browser type, pages visited, duration of use, and technical information related to performance and security. This data is not used to identify users directly, but rather to understand how the platform is used and to improve it.

How we use this data

The data we collect is used exclusively for purposes related to operating and developing the Kader platform. This includes managing applications, evaluating applicants, organizing workshops and programs, communicating with participants, and issuing certificates when appropriate.

We may also use email to send updates related to programs or applications, or to manage registration processes and prevent duplicate applications from the same user. If you agree to subscribe to Kader's mailing list, we may also send newsletters or informational content about future projects, with the ability to unsubscribe at any time easily and without restriction.

Email and newsletters

Communication via email is an essential part of operating the platform, especially regarding acceptance notifications and administrative updates. However, we ensure that this communication is clear in purpose and not intrusive.

Newsletters are entirely optional, and you can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time via the dedicated link found within the messages.

Data sharing

Kader does not sell or rent personal data under any circumstances. Some data may be shared internally with the team responsible for managing programs, only to the extent necessary to evaluate applications and organize educational or training operations.

In specific cases, applicants may be nominated for external opportunities in cooperation with partner organizations; this is done only after obtaining explicit and direct consent from the person concerned.

Alumni page

Kader may choose to display some works or information about participants on a public alumni page, in order to highlight contributions and celebrate them. However, this is never done automatically.

Any appearance on this page — whether a name, photo, description, or program details — is conditional on obtaining explicit and clear consent from the person concerned.

Data retention period

We retain data for as long as there is an operational or regulatory need for it, such as managing programs or referring to participant records. Some data may also be retained for internal archiving purposes.

In return, we acknowledge your right to request deletion of your data at any time. When a deletion request is submitted, it is handled seriously, retaining only what operational or regulatory necessity requires and to the minimum extent in accordance with applicable requirements. To submit any request related to deletion or modification of data, you can contact us by email or through the contact us page.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to improve the user experience and understand how users interact with the platform. These are small text files that are automatically stored on your device when you visit the site.

Some of these files help the site function properly and enable essential features, such as login and navigation between pages. Other files are used for analytical purposes, to understand how the platform is used in general and to improve performance and user experience.

Non-essential analytics tools are not activated until your prior consent is obtained. You can also modify your cookie preferences or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.

External services

As with many websites, we rely on certain external services to operate the platform, including analytics, security, hosting, and email services.

These services may process some technical data such as IP address or device information, in accordance with their own policies. We take care in selecting these tools, but we do not directly control how these parties process their data.

External links

The Kader website may include links to external sites or services that we do not own or directly manage. These links are provided to facilitate access to related information or resources.

We wish to note that Kader bears no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any external sites, and the presence of any link does not necessarily imply endorsement of or agreement with its content.

We advise users to review the privacy policies and terms of use of any external site before interacting with it or submitting any personal data through it.

Data security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, unlawful use, loss, or alteration. These measures include access controls, encryption when needed, and internal practices aimed at enhancing the level of security and stability.

However, given the nature of digital systems and the internet in general, 100% absolute protection cannot be guaranteed for any means of electronic transmission or storage. Therefore, we continuously review and update protection measures in line with adopted best practices.

Your rights

We believe that personal data belongs first and foremost to its owners, and that users have full right to control it.

Accordingly, we enable you at any time to exercise your rights related to your personal data, including requesting access, correction, updating, deletion, withdrawing your consent to its use, or objecting to certain forms of its processing, in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.

We are committed to handling all requests submitted in this context seriously and transparently, and processing them within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account workload and applicable regulatory and operational requirements.

To exercise any of these rights or submit an inquiry related to personal data, you can contact us at the following email: info@kaderproject.com

Applying to Kader programs does not guarantee acceptance. All applications are subject to a review and evaluation process based on specific criteria related to the nature of the program and the applicant's suitability for it. Application requirements and criteria may vary from one program to another, and are explained independently within each announcement or program description.

  • Applicant's background suitability for the program.
  • Level of experience or interest in the field.
  • Work samples or submitted materials.
  • Any additional elements determined by the evaluation team.

3. Evaluation process

Applications undergo organized review by a specialized team, and may go through several stages including initial screening and detailed evaluation, and in some cases interviews or requests for additional information. This process aims to ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency in selection.

4. Final decisions

Acceptance decisions are made based on the overall evaluation of the application and its comparison with other submitted applications, in line with the program's objectives and the number of available places. Acceptance or rejection decisions are final.

5. Program differences

Acceptance terms and criteria may differ from one program to another. Details specific to each program are explained independently within the announcement or program page, and the applicant is responsible for reviewing these details before applying.

6. Communication and results

Applicants are informed of their application results via email or means approved by Kader. Detailed feedback is not provided in all cases, unless the program specifies otherwise.

Equality and non-discrimination

Kader is committed to providing a fair and inclusive environment that ensures equal opportunities for all applicants and participants, without any form of direct or indirect discrimination on the basis of gender, nationality, ethnicity, social background, or other characteristics unrelated to program requirements or the nature of the work.

Evaluation and selection are built exclusively on objective criteria based on competence, suitability, and quality of application, ensuring fairness and transparency of procedures. Kader also believes that diversity among participants is an essential element in enriching the educational and creative experience.

Respect and a safe environment
