Zain Bouch is a filmmaker and researcher specializing in film studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Film History from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he focused on Syrian historical television series and the representation of the Umayyad state on screen, under the supervision of researcher Agnès Devictor.
His debut short film, Selim, has been screened at several festivals in France. He is currently in pre-production for his second short film with Plastic Dreams Productions.
Zain also preparing to begin a PhD at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where his research will focus on Syrian television series from the first decade of the 2000s.
